Tareem’s Kitchen is a Middle Eastern takeaway in the heart of Leeds, serving up the bold, comforting flavours we grew up loving. From fragrant rice and slow-cooked meats to fresh salads, warm breads and vibrant sauces, everything we make is about honest food, done properly.

Our menu is built around classic Middle Eastern favourites—chargrilled, spiced, and finished with the kind of little touches that make a meal feel special. We prep daily, cook to order, and keep things simple: great ingredients, generous portions, and flavours that travel well from our kitchen to your table.

  • This is a tiny three table restaurant. People had come all over to eat. We went becuase of the fabulous reviews. The Yemeni food is authentic, beautifully cooked and tasty. Not a huge menu but it absolutely packs a punch. We had the 2 person sharing platter which featured lamb and chicken on a bed of rice. The meat fell off the bone and melted in your mouth. We got the dessert to go! Strongly recommend this restaurant if you appreciate authentic well cooked food. And the price… complete value for money if not too cheap!

  • Delicious traditional Yemeni meals and desserts cooked fresh to order, in very big portions. Very helpful service on which options to choose from as a vegetarian, but I'd say its mostly geared for meat-eaters (particularly if you like Lamb).


    I returned here as a meat-eater (after being Vegetarian for 3 years) before leaving Leeds for their Maandi Lamb. Has to be the best lamb dish I have EVER had. I haven't seen their kitchen but I'm pretty sure they use the traditional method of an underground oven or something alike to make the lamb slide off the bone. Spices were amazing.

The food at Tareem's kitchen will take you back to originality and for those who are new to Yemeni cusine I do strongly recommend you to try it out .
